Projekt HARMONISE
HARMONISE - Interoperability in Tourism
The tourism industry essentially is an information business where data interoperability exchange is necessary to create a more dynamic market and to foster cooperation. The absence of a widely adopted methodological and technological standard in the European tourism hampers the efficient B2B exchange of information. Indeed, many substantial participants in the fragmented tourism industry have developed or currently are developing their own system or standards. HARMONISE, in coordination with other initiative (EnjoyEurope, Fetish)and with the involvement of international tourism organizations (ETC, IFITT, NTOs, etc), will establish bridges between existing and emerging on-line marketplaces. This project will enable these marketplaces to cooperate with each other, and will create the necessary conditions for a new European marketplace.
