Intelligent Human Resource Management
It is well known that in todays bussiness environment employees are the most valuable asset of any company, therefore Human Ressource Management is playing an ever increasing role. In this project we are developing extensions to the intranet-based human ressource system of the Daimler Chrysler site in Wörth.
Skill extraction from applications
One major part of Human Ressource Management is an intelligent management of job applications. For this project it is a problem that while an intranet based system for job application management already exists, most of the applications still come as written, non standartized text and the tedious and time consuming task of entering the information into the job application management system is too often not done.
To improve this process we will extract the text from written applications with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Software, analyse it with an given HR-System of concepts (or Ontology) and store the results in the job application management system.
Having the complete job application data in the application management system streamlines the selection process and allows to consider recent applications again when new job offers become availlable. Our Software for the automatic extraction of skills saves time for the staff of the human ressource department and allows for the easy integration of email applications.
