Roland Stühmer studied CS/Informatics at the University of Karlsruhe. His studies were focused on information systems and software engineering. He received his Diploma writing a thesis about Complex Event Processing in Rich Internet Applications. Additionally Roland was employed as a student at SAP Research Karlsruhe to test his Event Processing engine in the evaluation of an e-government portal for the EU project FIT.

Roland now works as a Research Scientist at FZI with Prof. Rudi Studer in the department IPE. He works on the EU project SYNERGY. Roland is part of the group focused on Complex Event Processing (iCEP) headed by Dr. Nenad Stojanovic.
