Abstract:
An existing test suite is used to evaluate conformance of the rule-based RDFS and OWL reasoners provided by the Jena Framework with respect to several entailment regimes, namely Simple Entailment, RDF, RDFS, D-entailment, OWL 1 Full, OWL 2 Full and the OWL 2 RL/RDF Rules. For this purpose, an evaluation environment has been implemented in Java. The Jena OWL reasoner is then extended for closer conformance to the OWL 2 RL/RDF Rules. The document reports on evaluation results, explains how the extension of the original reasoner was actually performed, and discusses difficulties that arose in this process.
