Abstract:
In this paper we present a use case related to the intelligent processing of events coming from the conventional (“cheap”) sensors in order to support better energy consumption in commercial buildings. The approach has been implemented using our iCEP framework and deployed in the office space of a real working environment. This research is a kind of the proof of the concept for a new technology that the industry partner would like to exploit.
The results are very encouraging: smart decisions for the efficient usage of energy can be made by the intelligent processing of “cheap” sensor events.
