Name Heuer, Stephan (Dipl.-Ing.)
Function Research Scientist

Stephan Heuer joined the FZI Research Center for Information Technology in 2006. He is currently working in the Medical Information Technology Group of the department for Embedded Systems and Sensors Engineering (ESS). The focus of his studies on electrical engineering and information technology at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) was on micro-and nano-electronics and systems engineering. His wrote his thesis on the development of a  "Low-Power 12-channel ECG for mobile applications" at FZI.

Research Interests:
  • Capacitive ECG measurement (CCECG), the measurement of ECG signals without direct skin contact using capacitively coupled electrodes (CCE)
  • Artifact detection and artifact reduction for capacitive ECG systems
  • Unobtrusive measurement of physiological parameters (e.g. for automotive application in the project INSITEX) for psychophysiological monitoring

Previuos projects:

  • Software engineering for a Personal Health Monitoring System on the. NET and. NET Compact Framework
