Roland Görlitz graduated from the University of Karlsruhe and majored in Computer Technology/Computer Science specializing in Information Systems, Robotics and Organizational Behavior. During his thesis he worked at the Surgical Planning Lab of the Brigham Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. In coorporation with the FZI and the Harvard Medical School he proposed a newly-developed, real-time, MRI-based tracking method for biopsy needles.
Roland Görlitz is employed as research scientist at IPE since 2009.
