Mercè Müller-Gorchs completed her degree in Business Engineering and Management at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) in January 2007. Her diploma thesis with the titel "Design for an economical evaluation of the Stroke Chain of Survival in the case study Stroke Angel" was within the scope of the project "PerCoMed".

Mercè Müller-Gorchs is working at IPE since February 2007 and is mainly involved in Stroke Angel and VitaBIT.

Her main concern is in evaluating and improving processes of the service providers within the healthcare sector.

The topic of her PhD ist about 'Networked service in emergency care – quality improvement trough integrated information logistics'.
There, the main research questions are:

• to investigate how a service improves by applying IT and
• to evaluate how the level of information changes due to the application of IT
