Function Research Scientist

Dr. Stephan Stathel studied "Information Engineering and Management" at the University of Karlsruhe (TH). The main emphasis was the area of computer science, economic science and law. Towards his study (10/2000 - 01/2006) he worked at several companies as a student apprentice and student trainee and gained experience in companies everyday life. Within an internship abroad he gained intercultural experience.

From 02/2006 till 03/2011 he worked as a scientific associate in the field of research IPE in a group managed by Prof. Weinhardt. His main research topics were: Service Oriented Architectures, Service Innovation (Innovation Assessment with Information Markets) as well as the design of Prediction Markets. He was involved in projects with industry partners as well as the public sector (e.g. the BMWI research project Theseus).

In November 2010 he finished his PhD at the Institute of Information Systems and Management (IISM), Department of Economics and Business Engineering, Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) successfully.
