Prof. Dr. Christof Weinhardt is head of the research group Information Management and Systems (IMS) at FZI and of the group Information & Market Engineering at the Institute of Information Systems and Management (IISM) at Universität Karlsruhe (TH). He is co-founder of the Karlsruhe Service Research Institute (KSRI). In his research, he focuses on Market Engineering and he has initiated numerous innovative interdisciplinary research projects in cooperation with other academic institutions and corporate partners. Christof Weinhardt is currently working in several organizations and committees: He is chairman of the Graduate School Information Management and Market Engineering (IME), cofounder and chairman of the Scientific Alliance eOrganisation at the Universität Karlsruhe (TH), contact and confidence professor for scholars of the German National Academic Foundation at the Universität Karlsruhe (TH), speaker of the Group Information Systems (FG 5), member of the board of German Society of Computer Science (GI) and he was chairman of the German Scientific Commission of Information Systems from 2001 to 2003. He is founder and member of the board of the research group E-commerce (FG 5.5) in the German Society of Computer Science (GI). Furthermore, he is member of various committees and editorial boards of national and international journals and commissions such as the journal of “Group Decision and Negotiation”, journal of “EM- Electronic Markets”, journal of “Wirtschaftsinformatik” and “BIT - Banking and Information Technology”.
