Tom Zentek studied computer science at the University of Karlsruhe. The topic of his diploma thesis was the recognition and benchmark of surgical kills using hidden markov models.

Now he is a research scientist in the group of Prof. Rudi Studer. His main research interests are IT solutions for health care systems and the application of ontologies in Software Engineering.
