Project GlobaliSE

Life Cycle Management in Globally Distributed Software Development

GlobaliSE is a research project is located within the research association “Unternehmenssoftware” and funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg. The project started in April 2009 and ends in March 2012.

The goal of the project GlobaliSE is to allow for a more efficient and effective reaction on changes within the life cycles of business processes and enterprise software by integrating these two life cycles. Especially the ambitious phases of the software development process, requirements engineering and architecture design, are to be supported in consideration of life cycle integration. Furthermore, methods for the identification of development tasks suitable for outsourcing/offshoring and for the management of a globally distributed software devel-opment are to be developed within this project. Accompanying to this, methods for quality prediction and assurance have to ensure the quality of specific enterprise software in consid-eration of life cycle integration.
