Michael Göller studied computer science at the university of Karlsruhe (TH) from 2001 to 2007. During his studies he specialized in the fields of embedded systems and robotics, in particular in biologically motivated robotic systems. He gained additional experiences in 'operations research' and 'project management and scheduling'. He wrote his diploma thesis 'Simulation of elastic walking using artificial muscles' at the 'Forschungszentrum Informatik' (FZI). Since April 2007 he is employed as scientific staff in the group 'Interactive Diagnosis- and Servicesystems' (IDS) at the FZI. His main field of research is the behavior based control of mobile agents. He is responsible for the following projects: - CommRob: This project is founded by the EU and focuses on handling dynamic environments as well as on communication and interaction between humans and service robots. Moreover the "Interactive Behavior-Operated Shopping Trolley" InBOT was developed in the course of this project. - iBOSS: This project is founded by the DLR and the BMWi and aims at enhancing the 'On Orbit Satellite Servicing' by applying robotic technologies.
