Clemens Birkenhofer studied electrical engineering at the university of Karlsruhe (TH) from 1996 to 2002. He specialised in control, automation and signal processing.
He did his diploma thesis "Construction of a stewart-plattform, implementation of coordinate transformation and position control" at the Institute for Computer Design and Fault Tolerance (IRF). Since february 2003 he is employed as member of the scientific staff of the group interactive diagnosis- and servicesystems (IDS) at the FZI (Forschungszentrum Informatik at the University of Karlsruhe (TH)). He focuses on mobile service robotics and the developement of a autonomous sewer inspection robot.
