Dr. Andreas Cardeneo graduated at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) where he obtained a degree in industrial engineering and management science. After completing his PhD in engineering he became the department manager of the logistics systems engineering group at the Research Center for Information Technology.

His research interests are within logistics, computer science and operations research, in particular focussing on quantitative approaches to supply chain planning, risk management and transportation. Dr. Andreas Cardeneo teaches quantitative methods for supply chain risk management at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and transportation and network planning at the SRH University of Applied Sciences in Heidelberg.

While engineering innovative information driven solutions for logistics, his two children are an ever agile source of inspiration, motivation and energy to Dr. Andreas Cardeneo.
