Thomas Schamm studied computer science at the university of Karlsruhe (TH) from 2001 to 2007. During his studies he specialized in the fields of cognitive systems, robotics and computer vision.

He wrote his diploma thesis "obstacle detection and tracking with a pmd-camera in cognitive automobiles" at the institute of computer science and engineering (CSE) of the university of Karlsruhe (TH).

From March 2007 to August 2007 he was scholarship holder of the research center for information technology (FZI). Since September 2007 he is employed as member of the scientific staff. Currently he is developing driver assistance systems for observation of vehicle surroundings.
