Human body mesh fitting

Human body reconstruction is an important feature in human-robot interaction, as robots are expected to be in closer contact with the user and high precision of the 3D features of the human body parts are required.

This research aims to use a predetermine mesh template for the human body (or parts), which will be deformed to match and fit to the point cloud obtained from a stereographic camera, for a personalized body reconstruction. We are searching for a student interested in working in a human body detection and reconstruction project.


  • Develop and implement new algorithms to fit the image to the mesh model, independently of clothing, light conditions and another occlusion sources
  • Work closely with another team members in the project

Wir erwarten

  • Good knowledge of Python or C++
  • Knowledge on Blender or another mesh software
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Computer Vision is a plus
  • Self-reliant thinking and working
  • Very good knowledge of English
