Transformation Hub Automotive Software Engineering (TASTE)

Software development skills are the foundation of the software-defined vehicle

Start: 11/2022

End: 06/2025

The Transformation Hub Automotive Software Engineering aims to establish software development as a first-level topic in the automotive industry and to promote software development skills in the automotive industry.

The goal of the Transformation Hub Automotive Software Engineering (TASTE), funded by the BMWK and coordinated by the FZI, is to act as an incubator and multiplier for modern software development methods, thereby strengthening the digitalization competence of the automotive sector. To achieve this, the hub offers networking opportunities, orientation in the changing software supply chain of the automotive industry and support in building software engineering competences. The Transformation Hub aims to enable small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in the value chain of the software-driven vehicles of the future. To achieve this, specific transfer formats will be implemented in 2024, such as virtual demonstrators and multiplier networks to support companies in the software-driven transformation.
