The opening event of the “Mittelstand 4.0-Kompetenzzentrum” takes place on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in Stuttgart. The visitors will see examples of the successful implementation of digitalisation strategies in new business models under scientific supervision. Another highlight will be various demonstrators in the fields of production, healthcare and IT security.

The competence centre in Stuttgart is one of eleven competence centres of the initiative for digital production and work processes “Mittelstand 4.0 – Digitale Produktions- und Arbeitsprozesse” of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The competence centre deals with the following topics: smart mobility, smart production, smart building and smart health.

The focus of the support lies on a practice-oriented optimisation of existing business models as well as on the development of new business models and on products for SMEs. The competence centre Stuttgart offers the opportunity to test technical developments and interfaces to products and customers under qualified supervision.
