Hardware AI: Use Cases and Requirements from the Perspective of SMEs

Dear Sir or Madam, as you may have found out from the press, the State Government of Baden-Württemberg and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing Baden-Württemberg fund the topic of artificial intelligence. The project "Mikroelektronik für KI – Neuromorphe Hardware (NeMoH)" (microelectronics for AI – neuromorphic hardware) was launched this summer and brings the topics of AI and sensor technology together.

NeMoH - are the research institutions IMS CHIPS, the FZI and Hahn-Schickard. They are supported by an industrial advisory board, which currently consist of the companies Staiger GmbH & Co. KG, Pilz GmbH & Co. KG, Balluff GmbH, PSIORI GmbH as well as Robert Bosch GmbH.

In order to further develop and expand the topic together with the economy and industry, we cordially invite you to a first workshop on February 18, 2020 with the industrial advisory board and further interested representatives from industry and economy. The aim of the workshop is, on the one hand, to technically support the project on the part of the economy, but on the other hand, to determine the position on the topic of AI. Which topics have the potential to be transferred from research into application with the support of AI and how can existing research environments take up these topics and transfer them together with the industry into new product? If you want to participate in discussing these topics, establish new networks or just inform yourself, we cordially invite you to this workshop.
Projects live on ideas and applications. We are thus looking forward to further members in the industrial advisory board, who are willing to support the project ideally.

  • Information on the project NeMoH
  • Requirements on hardware platforms
  • Opportunities of accompanying work in the project
  • Interactive discussion on the requirements of hardware platforms for AI, trends and cooperation between research and industry
  • Exchange of experiences around the topic of AI

Since the number of participants is limited, we ask you to register until February 10, 2020 at
