The FZI Presents Systems for Human-Robot Collaboration at MOTEK

From 8 to 11 October, the international trade fair for automation in production and assembly MOTEK will take place in Stuttgart. Recent developments in the fields of production and automated assembly will be presented at the trade fair.

The FZI presents the latest state-of-the-art of the human-robot collaboration (HRC) at assembly workstations and for automated screwing technology with two demonstrators: the cooperative screw assembly and the conveyor screwing.

The renowned cooperative screw assembly is an innovative human-robot collaboraton system where the workspace is monitored to create an efficient and safe environment for humans and robots to work together. In addition to that, augmented reality is integrated now, in which robot movements and intentions are visualised in order to let the user know what the robot wants to do next.

A further highlight in automation is the conveyor screwing, in which one of the FZI robots by Universal Robots uses a safety-certified screwing tool to drive the screws into the component while it is moving on the conveyor belt.
