Innovation Alliance for the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion

Innovation Alliance for the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion is pleased about the successful event at ARKU Maschinenbau GmbH in Baden-Baden.

The third event of the series "Innovation in Kooperation" (innovation in cooperation) attracted great interest in Baden-Baden on February 6, 2019. The host was ARKU Maschinenbau GmbH, a manufacturer of precision machines for sheet metal processing, which is ranked 15th of the 50 most innovative medium-sized enterprises by the German journal "WirtschaftsWoche". The event was an "entrepreneurs' forum special" of the spa town at the same time. Lord Mayor Marget Mergen welcomed the 60 guests.

"It was the best attended event, our concept of lectures and networking seems to work effectively," said delighted Dr. Markus Bauer, who presented the offer of the innovation alliance. "We bring small and medium-sized enterprises in the region together with appropriate contact persons in scientific institutes at no charge, so that they can implement their innovative ideas unbureaucratically, confidentially and quickly."
Dr. Djerdj Horvat from the Fraunhofer-Institute for System and Innovation Research ISI, talked about the strategic competence management of companies. Markus Spadinger from the Institute of Product Engineering, informed about the latest state of development methods and innovation management tools.

Managing Director of ARKU, Marcus Bartle contributed experiences of medium-sized companies with funding projects: "I was able to report by means of examples, what was going well and where attention has to be paid. We only launch innovation projects if they have a clear use for the machine or the application of the customer," states Bartle.
The Managing Director of the TRK Jochen Ehlgötz and Petra Bender, manager of the Welcome Center, explained how the Welcome Center of the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion can support companies in the recruitment of experts.
As a special end, the visitors had a guided tour through the premises of Arku and the opportunity to network.
