Handover of the Grant from the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg

State Secretary Katrin Schütz hands over the notification on the grant from the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg for institutional support

On May 2, State Secretary Katrin Schütz handed over the notification of the grant of EUR 3.07 million from the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg for institutional support for the financial year 2018 to the FZI. This support includes a so-called "KMU premium" for the acquisition of research contracts from small and medium-sized companies.

With this basic funding, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing Baden-Württemberg supports applied research on information and communication technologies and the transfer of the latest research findings and processes, from which small and medium-sized companies as well as large companies benefit.

The FZI has been developing concepts, software, hardware and system solutions for its clients since 1985 and implements the solutions found in prototypes. This is how the latest research findings in information technology reach companies and public institutions. Additionally, through the close contact to economy, the young researchers qualify for their future careers. The FZI Research Center for Information Technology is an independent and non-profit institution. Each year, it receives basic funding from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing Baden-Württemberg.
