Projects and partners of the FZI Living Lab Automotive

  • Energieeffizientes Fahren EFA 2014 (energy-efficient driving): Fifteen partners of the German automotive industry, several research institutions as well as the Saxon state capital Dresden have formed a consortium in order to enhance the range of electric vehicles through intelligent, anticipatory energy management.
  • AUTOPLES: The project AUTOPLES encompasses automated parking and loading of electric vehicle systems.
  • S 500 Intelligent Drive: In the project S 500 Intelligent Drive, a Mercedes-Benz S-Class was equipped with the corresponding technology in order to autonomously follow the track that Bertha Benz had chosen for her historical first long-distance drive 125 years ago. The project was carried out under the guidance of Daimler AG within the framework of a research partnership with the FZI Research Center for Information Technology and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
  • CoCar: With the instrumented test vehicle CoCar, the FZI aims at providing more driving comfort, safety and security, and energy efficiency.
