  • OpEneR: In the project OpEneR FZI researchers work on enhancing the range of electric vehicles. The goal is to optimise brake energy regeneration through assistance systems.
  • Energieeffizientes Fahren EFA 2014 (energy-efficient driving): In the project EFA 2014 the range of electric vehicles is to be enhanced through intelligent, anticipatory energy management.
  • GreenNavigation: GreenNavigation aims at the optimisation of ranges through the intelligent connection of novel vehicle concepts, modern communication technologies, and development tools.
  • RESCAR: The goal of RESCAR 2.0 is to optimise the entire development process of electric and electronic system components for electric mobility in order to predict the robustness and reliability of the overall system right from the beginning.
  • AUTOPLES: The project AUTOPLES encompasses automated parking and loading of electric vehicles.
  • IeMM: Within this project, an integral mobility solution is designed and realised prototypically. The aim is to establish an intermodal connection between electrified as well as non-electrified mobility systems of private and public operators.
  • Smart Grid Integration: In the project Smart Grid Integration the FZI focuses on the research of concepts and strategies making the charging of batteries in electric vehicles controllable for the operators of power grids. The project results will be an important component for future power grids in cities and municipalities.
