Mohito

Der Zugriff auf die Daten einer Softwareanwendung erfolgt heute von verschiedenen Orten (vom Handy über Browser bis hin zu Server-zu-Server-Kommunikation). Pro Plattform und Technologie müssen die Zugriffsmethoden, inklusive der Logik für Caching und Synchronisation, manuell erstellt und gewartet werden.

Das Projekt "Mohito" hat zum Ziel, die Datenzugriffe durch eine gemeinsame Schicht zu harmonisieren und ein Multi-Plattform-Framework zur Verfügung zu stellen, das eine Anpassung an existierende Systeme erlaubt. Modellgetriebene Technologien werden dafür genutzt, die verschiedenen Eigenschaften, die der Zugriff erfüllen muss, plattformunabhängig zu spezifizieren und dann automatisch in Code umzusetzen.

Human Brain Project

By integrating neuroscientifc data and interdisciplinary knowledge, the  Human Brain Project (HBP) provides the basis for a new kind of brain research. Its main goals are to gain fundamental insights about the human brain, to discover new treatments for brain diseases, and to develop new brain-inspired computer technologies.

The project is funded by the European Commission under the Grant Agreement FP7-604102.

SensIDL - A generic framework for implementing sensor communication interfaces

With the growing of distribution of intelligent sensor systems, which are becoming more and more established with the concepts of "Internet of Things" and research visions of "Industry 4.0", the importance of a straightforward access to the sensor data rises. The goal of this project is the development of an open source framework for the specification and efficient implementation of sensor data interfaces for complex embedded systems. The specification language, SensIDL (Sensor Interface Definition Language), allows the uniform description of data provided by the smart sensors. Beside its describing character, an interface definition based on the specification language builds the foundation of the automated code generation for the sensor and receiver side communication APIs. Along with the communication framework, which allows the integration of existing data transmission technologies, these results frame the SensIDL tool kit.
