Selbstbestimmt & Sicher

Selbstbestimmt & Sicher has the goal to develop a  new networking concept for all the participants involved in the elderly care.  The main approaches in the project are: an Internet portal to support the networking of these participants, the IT support for the organization and coordination of a cooperative care,  an innovative monitoring system at home connected to a service center, and the IT support for a structured Case Management to optimize the elderly care.

Wegweiser Pflege und Technik

The Project "Wegweiser Pflege und Technik" has the goal to systematically collect innovative technologies and technology based services in nursing and to spread the knowledge by using specific transfer activities in Baden-Württemberg.

To achieve this goal, a web based Information Platform and a mobile exhibition are developed.

TrinkTracker - Assistenzsystem zur Unterstützung adäquater Flüssigkeitsaufnahme in der Pflege

Das Projekt TrinkTracker will für eine ausreichende Flüssigkeitsversorgung bei älteren Menschen sorgen. Dazu wird ein technikgestützter Trinkassistent entwickelt, der neben der automatischen Erfassung und Dokumentation der getrunkenen Flüssigkeitsmenge den Nutzer auch animieren soll, täglich eine ausreichende Menge zu trinken. Das TrinkTracker-System soll somit Sicherheit im Trinkmanagement geben und wird sowohl für die professionelle als auch die häusliche Pflege entwickelt. Es soll die Pflegenden unterstützen und entlasten sowie die Älteren zum ausreichenden Trinken motivieren.

OptimAAL

As part of the project optimAAL, FZI performs a study with 100 test households. Ambient sensors are deployed to measure activities of daily living and to detect emergency situations.

easyCare – Technology Supported Services for Care Givers

In easyCare, FZI developed solutions to support care givers that support them in their daily duties. Furthermore, a new software connects social services, healthcare providers and customers. The FZI-Spin-Off nubedian is commercializing the resulting software.

ALUMIN – Senior-friendly Entertainment, Motivation and Interaction

The project ALUMIN (Entertainment for the elderly, Motivation and Interaction) is a joint research project between the FZI and the digital TV specialist TARA System from Munich. Togehter they develop and evaluate TV based entertainment and iteraction solutions that are tailored to the requirements of the elderly.
