Career
In seiner Forschungsarbeit haben Softwaretechnik und Parallelverarbeitung Priorität, wobei sein besonderes Interesse Werkzeugen und Methoden gilt, die eine industrielle Herstellung zuverlässiger und kostengünstiger Software erlauben. Derzeitige Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Softwareentwicklung für Multi-/Manycore, automatische Anforderungsanalyse sowie empirische Untersuchungen von Methoden und Werkzeugen der Software-Erstellung.

Career
Dr. Ingmar Baumgart leitet das Kompetenzzentrum IT-Sicherheit am FZI.
Zuvor studierte er Informatik an der Universität Karlsruhe (TH) mit den Schwerpunkten Kryptographie, Telematik und Recht. Nach Abschluss seines Studiums im Jahr 2005 hat er eine Stelle als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Telematik des Karlsruher Instituts für Technologie (KIT) angetreten. Die Schwerpunkte seiner Forschung waren der Entwurf und die Simulation von sicheren und effizienten Kommunikationsprotokollen für verteilte Systeme.
Nach Abschluss seiner Promotion im Jahr 2010 war Ingmar Baumgart Leiter einer Nachwuchsforschergruppe am KIT und arbeitete dort an technischen Verfahren zum Datenschutz in den Bereichen Energie, Mobilität und sozialen Netzwerken. Neben seiner Tätigkeit am FZI ist Ingmar Baumgart seit 2017 zudem Privatdozent am KIT. In der Lehre war er in den Bereichen Netzsicherheit, Mobilkommunikation, Multimediakommunikation und Internet of Things aktiv.
Ingmar Baumgart ist zertifizierter TeleTrusT Information Security Professional (T.I.S.P.).

Dipl.-Inform. Oliver Denninger

Career
Oliver Denninger joined the FZI in June 2007 after having completed his degree (Dipl.-Inform.) in computer science at University of Karlsruhe (TH). Starting October 2010 he was department manager and since July 2015 he is division manager for Software Engineering (SE). He received the ObjektForum-Förderpreis 2007 for his diploma thesis. His main research interests include software architectures, quality and maintenance as well as parallel processing and multi-core systems.

Julian Ganz studierte 2012 bis 2015 Allgemeine Informatik (B.Sc.) und 2016 bis 2018 Informatik (M.Sc.) an der Hochschule Furtwangen.
Seit März 2018 ist er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in der Abteilung "Systementwurf in der Mikroelektronik" (SIM) des Forschungsbereichs "Intelligent Systems and Production Engineering" (ISPE).

Career
Thomas Glock studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Karlsruher Institute of Technology (KIT). His focus was System Engineering. He wrote his diploma thesis "Development support for modular Electirc-/Electronic-Architectures in context of e-Vehicles" at the FZI. Since February 2013 he works in the research area ESS at the FZI.

Jacqueline Henle

Career
Jacqueline Henle studied Industrial Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and obtained her M.Sc. in July 2019. One focus of her studies was Automotive Engineering, in which field she gained practical insights working with OEMs, Automotive suppliers, an Electric Utilities company and in Consulting.
Since October 2019 she is working as a research scientist in the department Embedded Systems and Sensors Engineering with a focus on automotive topics at the FZI in Berlin.Contact

My main research interests cover simulation interoperability, model-driven engineering and modern software development methods for enterprise and mobile systems.
After completing my diploma thesis at Fraunhofer, Karlsruhe, I joined the Software Design and Quality (SDQ) group at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Since March 2015, I'm researcher at the FZI.

Christian King
Research Scientist
Career
Christian King studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Karlsruher Institute of Technology (KIT) with a specialisation in Systems Engineering. He wrote his master thesis with the title "Development and Test of an Automated Model Vehicle" already at FZI. Since January 2017 he is employed as researcher at FZI.

M.Sc. Jonas Klamroth

Jonas Klamroth studierte Informatik am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT). Während seines Studiums lagen seine Schwerpunkte auf formalen Methoden sowie Kryptographie. Seine Masterarbeit mit dem Titel "Modular Verification of JML Contracts Using Bounded Model Checking" führte er am Lehrstuhl von Prof. Dr. Beckert durch und beendete sein Studium 2019 mit einem Master of Science.
Seit April 2019 ist Jonas Klamroth für das FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Forschungsbereich Software Engineering (SE) tätig. Als Doktorand ist er Mitglied in der Forschungsgruppe von Prof. Dr. Beckert.

M. Sc. Sebastian Krach
Research Scientist
Career
Sebastian Dieter Krach studied Informatics at the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT). Software engineering, in particular software architectures, and modern network infrastructures were the focus of his curriculum.
He wrote his master's thesis titled "Energy-Conscious Deployment Optimization for Component-Based Cyber-Foraging Systems", advised by the chair for Software Design and Quality (SDQ) of KIT, at the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Pittsburgh. During his work he regarded design-time optimization for software architectures of cyber-foraging applications with respect to the energy consumption of the mobile device.
Since July 2015 Sebastian Dieter Krach has been working as research scientist in the research devision Software Engineering (SE) of the FZI Research Center for Information Technology.

Dr.-Ing. Fabian Rigoll

Career
Fabian Rigoll studierte von 2006 bis 2011 Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT). Er schloss sein Studium im Jahr 2011 als Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur ab.
In den Jahren 2012 bis 2016 arbeitete Fabian Rigoll als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Angewandte Informatik und Formale Beschreibungsverfahren (AIFB) des KIT. In dieser Zeit beschäftigte er sich im Rahmen nationaler und internationaler Forschungsprojekte mit dem Themenkomplex der Energieinformatik. Der Fokus lag hierbei insbesondere auf dem Management von Energiedaten und den damit verbundenen Auswirkungen auf Privatsphäre und Datenschutz. Er promovierte am KIT zum Dr.-Ing. mit dem Thema "Nutzerorientiertes Energiedatenmanagement".
Seit 2017 ist Fabian Rigoll am FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik tätig. Zunächst leitete er die Abteilung für Intelligente Information und Kommunikation in Technischen Systemen (IIK) des Forschungsbereiches Intelligent Systems and Production Engineering (ISPE). Seit Oktober 2018 leitet er gemeinsam mit Dr.-Ing. Dominik Riemer den Forschungsbereich Information Process Engineering (IPE).

Career
Martin Schulze studierte technische Informatik an der Hochschule Esslingen (Bachelor of Engineering) und wechselte für das Masterstudium in Informatik an das Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT). Die Schwerpunkte lagen hierbei auf kognitiven Systemen und theoretischen Grundlagen (Algorithmik). Seine Masterarbeit mit dem Thema "Active Learning For Acoustic Models In Automatic Speech Recognition" absolvierte er an der Carnegie Mellon University und dem KIT im Rahmen des InterACT Stipendiatenprogramms. Seit July 2017 ist Martin Schulze als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Forschungszentrum Informatik (FZI) in der Abteilung Technisch Kognitive Systeme (TKS) angestellt.

Career
Stephan Seifermann studied Informatics at the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) with the core areas of software engineering and telematics.
In his master's thesis, he worked on model-driven co-evolution of software artifacts in the research group of Prof. Dr. Reussner. In 2014, he finished his studies with a master's degree.
Since January 2015, Stephan Seifermann works as researcher in the research division Software Engineering (SE) of the FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik. As a doctoral candidate, he is assigned to the research group of Prof. Dr. Reussner.

Career
Alexander Viehl absolvierte von 1999 bis 2004 das Studium der Informatik an der Universität Karlsruhe, dem heutigen Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT).
Die Studienschwerpunkte lagen in der Architektur und der kryptographischen Absicherung von Softwaresystemen und dem Entwurf und der Architektur eingebetteter Systeme und Mikroprozessoren. Weiterhin beschäftigte er sich mit Medizintechnik.
Seit Oktober 2004 ist er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter, seit August 2007 Projektleiter, seit April 2012 Abteilungsleiter am FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik in der Abteilung Systementwurf in der Mikroelektronik (SiM).Seit Juli 2016 leitet Alexander Viehl den Bereich Intelligent Systems and Production Engineering (ISPE) des FZI.
Seine Arbeiten liegen in den Bereichen der modellgetriebenen Entwurfsmethodik für sicherheitskritische eingebettete Hardware-/Software-Systeme, der Verifikation und Absicherung technischer Systeme, Optimierungsverfahren und Entwurfsraumexploration für softwareintensive Mehrkernsysteme, Virtual Prototyping cyber-physikalischer Systeme, energieeffizienter und sicherer Assistenzsysteme sowie IKT für die Elektromobilität.
