Job Description

The FZI Research Center for Information Technology is a non-profit institution for applied research in information technology and technology transfer. We are looking for a research scientist to support our research division Information Process Engineering (IPE), at our head office in Karlsruhe or at our branch office in Berlin as soon as possible.

You will research and design solutions for the analysis and visualisation of large data files in interdisciplinary projects with commercial companies and renowned scientific institutions.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include the following tasks:

  • Conception, implementation and evaluation of innovative systems for data analysis and data visualisation 
  • Project processing in the field of application of predictive maintenance and forecasting
  • Carrying out applied studies in the field of business informatics

Your Profile

  • Degree in economics, informatics, business informatics, industrial engineering or a related discipline
  • Basic knowledge in the fields of statistical and/or machine learning
  • Basic knowledge in the field of statistical programming (R, SAS, SPSS, MatLab etc.)
  • Knowledge in software programming (Java, Python, Solidity) and/or software design are an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and think methodically and creatively
  • Very good German or English skills
  • Motivation und commitment
