Lea Steffen studied from 2010 to 2014 at the University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim and concluded the course Medical Informatics with a Bachelor degree. Subsequently, she proceeded her scholastics with the master programme Computer Science at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2014 to 2017. As her focus areas she chose Cognitive Systems and Robotics and Automation. She concluded her thesis "Multimodal Motion Activation for Robot Control using Spiking Neurons" at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology in the department Technical Cognitive Systems (TKS). Since august 2017 she works as a research scientist in the department "Interactive Diagnostic and Service Systems" (IDS) in the division Intelligent Systems and Product Engineering (ISPE) at the FZI. Her research area are event-based vision and robotic path planning with neuromorphic systems.
