Dr. Isabel Bezzaoui studied Sociology and Educational Sciences in Berlin (Free University of Berlin) and Dortmund (TU Dortmund University). During her studies, she worked as a research assistant at both university-based and non-university research institutes. As part of her master’s studies, her research focused on recruitment strategies of the “New Right” as well as the discursive processing of right-wing extremism.

Since 2021, she has been a research associate at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology at its Berlin office. In the Department of Information Management & Analytics, she conducts research in various projects on the identification and countering of disinformation campaigns. She completed her doctorate at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christof Weinhardt.
