Judith Junker has been working as a research scientist at the FZI Research Centre for Information Technology in Berlin since 2017. She works in the field of software engineering and conducts research on open digital ecosystems and data-driven value creation. She is currently involved in the BMFTR-funded project ‘ANYMOS – Anonymisation for Networked Mobility Systems’, where she deals with the governance of digital mobility ecosystems and data-driven, data protection-compliant business models. In the BMWK-funded project ‘Showcase for Secure Digital Identities Karlsruhe’ (SDIKA), she investigated possible organisational forms and business cases for an open ecosystem for digital identities.

Judith holds a Master of Arts in Political Science with an interdisciplinary specialisation in European integration and globalisation. For the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, she supervised research projects on cross-cutting topics such as social acceptance and business models as part of the accompanying research project for the technology programme "Smart Data – Innovationen aus Daten". She was also head of the PrePrint+ research project in the BMBF funding programme to accelerate the transformation to Open Access.
