FZI Live
FZI Open House 2026
IT-Innovation made in Baden-Württemberg
Where research meets practice, solutions emerge that drive Baden-Württemberg forward.
Experience technological excellence from Karlsruhe in forums, workshops, and live demonstrations on topics ranging from digital security to urban robotics and Artificial Intelligence. We offer insights into our FZI Living Labs for new perspectives and progress.
The FZI Open House offers decision-makers, strategists, and doers from business, public administration, and science inspiration and space for networking. We show what we’re all about: research that works in practice.
Experience how robots can be trained by laypeople on construction sites. Learn how to analyze data in the cloud without compromising confidentiality. Or discover how we have applied Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with our partners in fields ranging from medicine to steel production. You will learn about solutions made in Baden-Württemberg that we tailor to your specific application.
Our program is currently still under construction, but you can already look forward to the following forums:
Transfer forum 1: Digitale Sicherheit (Digital Safety)
Make products safe now: From legislation to practice
The Cyber Resilience Act aims to improve the security of digital products, presenting new challenges for suppliers and manufacturers. At the “Produkte jetzt sicher machen: vom Gesetz in die Praxis” (Making products secure now: from law to practice) forum, you will learn how to systematically identify security risks and develop measures to help you implement regulatory requirements. You will also learn how to securely implement cryptographic methods and how we test the security of your products in our laboratory, enabling you to address security issues at an early stage.
Transfer forum 2: KI im Einsatz (AI in Practice)
Innovationen in industry and public administration
At the transfer forum, you will learn how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is already being used successfully in industry and public administration today. Three keynote speeches will showcase current technologies, highlight opportunities and challenges, and illustrate the transformative power of AI for companies and public institutions. Be inspired by real-world application examples and learn more about the potential of AI.
Transfer forum 3: Urbane Robotik (Urban Robotics)
How autonomous service robots are becoming part of public spaces
How can service robots become an integral part of our urban living spaces? The forum explores which enabling technologies are paving the way for service robots in urban areas: from scalable autonomy and reliable mobility in urban spaces to networked AI systems. Three expert presentations will provide insights into current developments and show how innovations can be tested in real-world test fields. Take advantage of this opportunity to exchange ideas with experts and discuss which robotic solutions could soon shape our cities.
