Introduction to Information Security
Tips for everyday business life
Cyber attacks, data loss, or unauthorized access to information—the risks for companies are manifold. But with the proper knowledge, many dangers can be avoided.
This is where the web initiative of the Transfer Centre for Cybersecurity in SMEs comes in:
- A practical introduction to the basics of information security
- What information should you protect in your company
- How to achieve greater security step by step
Why is information security so important?
Whether customer data, internal processes, or business secrets—they are all the centerpiece of every business. Information security means that all of this data and information is protected against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Even small and micro-enterprises with few complex business processes face the challenge of maintaining an overview and responding quickly to changes. This also applies to the security of your information and data. That is why a management system is needed to ensure and continuously improve information security.
