KI sicher einsetzen (EU AI Act) | Using AI safely (EU AI Act)
In this training course, FZI experts will teach you how to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) appropriately and in compliance with regulations in a business environment. You will gain an overview of both the legal requirements and the technical aspects of AI systems. The training supports you in implementing the EU AI Act and equips you with the skills to use AI responsibly in your company. You will learn about the opportunities as well as the risks of using AI and will be able to make informed, nuanced decisions regarding the application of AI. The training sessions take place on-site at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology in Karlsruhe. In small training groups, you will have the opportunity to engage with experienced AI experts and exchange ideas with other users. By participating in the training, you will also receive a signed certificate of participation to demonstrate the competence required by the AI Regulation.

- What is “AI”?
- How do Large Language Models (LLMs) work?
- Why do LLMs hallucinate? What risks do prompt injections pose?
- Why aren’t LLMs a miracle cure, and why can’t they be used for all applications?
- What is the EU AI Act all about? Why does this affect me?
- What else do you need to consider regarding data protection and copyright?
- How can AI be (better) utilized in business practice? Practical examples of successful AI implementation in companies!
What you take home
- You will gain an overview of the most important legal requirements and challenges. This includes, in particular, the EU AI Act, as well as topics such as data protection and copyright.
- FZI experts will provide you with practical insights into the technical underpinnings of current AI systems. You will understand why AI use inherently involves risks and how to manage them.
- The training provides opportunities for discussion with FZI experts and other users.
- You will receive a signed certificate of participation to demonstrate your acquired AI expertise.
