David Knothe studied computer science and mathematics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2016 to 2023.

Since November 2023, he has been a research assistant in the Department of System Design in Microelectronics. He is currently working on compiler-based software hardening against timing side channels.
