Department Manager
Intelligent Systems and Production Engineering

Sebastian Reiter studied computer science at the University of Karlsruhe from 2002 to 2008. He completed his doctorate at the University of Tübingen in 2018 on the topic of reliability assessment of networked embedded systems with Prof. Dr. Oliver Bringmann. He has been a research assistant in the department System design in Microelectronics (SiM) since 2010. Since 2017 as head of department.

Own research focus:
– Model-driven design methods for embedded systems
– Reliability assessment of software-intensive embedded systems

Co-operation topics:
– Design methods for embedded systems, in particular generator-based design methods for the RISC-V ISA
– Resource-efficient system-on-a-chip architectures for AI algorithms
– Verification methods for hardware/software systems
– Model- and ontology-based design tools
– Simulation-based testing of perception systems
