Webinar: Electric Vehicles as a Swarm
Contribution to grid stability through primary control power
How can electric vehicles be not only a means of transportation, but also active components of the energy transition? In this webinar, PowerJames GmbH and the FZI Research Center for Information Technology will present the latest results from the SWARM project. Join our webinar to learn how a decentralized pool of electric vehicles can provide primary control power and contribute to the energy transition.
Electric vehicles are not only part of the mobility transition, they can also be an active component of the energy transition. As part of the SWARM project funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism, PowerJames GmbH and the FZI Research Center for Information Technology are demonstrating how a decentralized swarm of electric vehicles can stabilize the power grid through primary control power.
Contents of the webinar
The focus is on current research findings and specific application examples:
- Platform for controlling and coordinating vehicles
 - Scientific findings for practical implementation
 - Live demonstration: Control power provision in action

Why should you participate?
Integrating renewable energies poses significant challenges for our electricity system. Flexible consumers, such as those in the electric vehicle sector, can play a key role in overcoming these challenges. The presented concept offers concrete approaches for intelligently combining mobility and energy systems.
