Job Description

The FZI Research Center for Information Technology is a non-profit institution for applied research in information technology and technology transfer. We are looking for an employee (m/f/d) to support our division Communications in the field of event management in Karlsruhe as soon as possible and on a full-time basis. The contract for this post is initially limited to two years.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conception, organisation and realisation of own in-house event formats
  • Conception, organisation and realisation of trade fair booths at leading national and international trade fairs in Germany (and perspectively also abroad) and at career fairs
  • Project management for trade fairs and events, including calculation and project controlling, preparation of tenders, management of service providers, coordination with internal and external contact persons
  • Consultation and preparation of decision papers for the division management on suitable trade fair profiles, trade fair preparation and follow-up and trade fair presentation
  • Conception of accompanying communication measures for trade fairs and events in cooperation with the Communications team

Your Profile

  • Completed apprenticeship or degree in the field of Event Management or a related discipline
  • At least two years of professional experience in the field of event management and in the management of service providers, preferably in a technology-oriented and/or scientific environment
  • Profound competences in the areas of event and project management as well as target group-oriented communication
  • Ability to work in a team, to cope with pressure,  analytic competence, problem solving skills, as well as creativity
  • Very good German and English skills as well as  willingness to travel (if necessary also on weekends)
