Jérôme Nguyen has been working in the Communications department at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology in Karlsruhe since January 2020. His responsibilities there include press and project communications as well as strategic public relations. His focus is on communicating complex research content, designing media-effective formats, and bridging the gap between science and the public.
After completing his bachelor's and master's degrees in media studies at Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, specializing in game studies, usability engineering, and media production, Nguyen worked as a research trainee at ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. There, he played a key role as curator in the conception and production of the exhibition zkm_gameplay. the next level, which explored the cultural and social significance of computer games.
Since 2018, Jérôme Nguyen has also been working as a freelance lecturer at various universities, including the GameLab at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG), Macromedia University, and Karlshochschule International University. In his teaching, he imparts practical knowledge in the areas of game design, media analysis, and digital culture.
