Elias Birkefeld studied Mechanical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2024, specializing in Mechatronics and Robotics. He wrote his bachelor’s thesis, “Manual LiDAR-to-Camera Calibration in VR,” at the Institute of Measurement and Control Systems, and his master’s thesis, “Generalizing Stability for Legged Robots to 3D Environments,” at the FZI.
Since November 2024, he has been working as a research associate in the Interactive Diagnostic and Service Systems (IDS) department. His work focuses on controlling multiple physically collaborating robotic systems.
