Marc René Zofka studied Information Engineering at the University Konstanz between 2007 and 2010. Building on this, he focused on digital signal processing and artificial intelligence methods for autonomous mobile systems as part of his master's degree in computer science at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), graduating in 2012 with M.Sc. in Computer Science. In 2025, he received his Dr.-Ing. degree from the KIT, focusing on digital twinned test fields and proving grounds for future mobility applications.

Between 2013 and 2018, he worked as a research assistant and project manager in the department Technical Cognitive Systems (TCS) at FZI. Since 2018, he has headed the TCS department within the Intelligent Systems and Production Engineering (ISPE) area.

He also contributes as a reviewer for international conferences, such as IEEE IV, ITSC, IROS or ICRA.
