Sven Watzinger studied industrial engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2020. He wrote his master’s thesis in the Discrete Optimization and Logistics Group at the Institute for Operations Research on the topic “Hybrid Simulation for Quality Assurance in Emergency Medical Services in Baden-Württemberg.” From 2020 to 2025, he worked as a research associate at the Institute for Operations Research on an applied research project focusing on logistics planning in emergency medical services.

Since early 2026, he has been working at the FZI in the Information Process Engineering (IPE) research division. His research interests focus on logistics issues in the healthcare sector.
