GenIUs4KMU
Generative AI in Software Development with a focus on smart home applications.
Start: 02/2025
End: 09/2025
The GenIUs4KMU project is testing and demonstrating the use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in software development with a special focus on Smart Home applications.
Smart Home technologies are now present in many areas of life, from single-family homes to large properties. Here, the efficient creation and maintenance of rules for automating processes is the key to user acceptance.
This project aims to optimize interaction between various stakeholders — from end users to electricians to engineering service providers — and increase efficiency in the development and implementation of Smart Home solutions through the use of AI methods for programming.
The FZI focuses in particular on the use of open source AI models in the field of code/rule generation using retrieval-augmented generation.
In this research area, the FZI focuses on human-centric Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence for prediction. The FZI also addresses topics related to dedicated hardware for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI engineering.
