Aline Vugrincic studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg im Breisgau with a focus on “Criminal Law Social Control”.

Since August 2021, she has been a research scientist in the research division Cybersecurity and Law and since August 2025, she has served as vice department manager of the CSL-LAW department.
Her research focuses on the legal aspects of cybersecurity, with particular emphasis on data protection law, artificial intelligence law and criminal law.
