KiDiZwi
AI Toolkit for Digital Twins
Start: 03/2026
End: 02/2028

KiDiZwi empowers SMEs to easily create digital twins.
The project is enhancing the existing Pipeline Constructor into an industry-ready software toolkit that enables companies to independently build and flexibly customize digital twins of their production machines. The modular structure allows SMEs in particular to create digital twins step-by-step, quickly, and in a resource-efficient manner using reusable software building blocks. Building on methodologically validated modular concepts and data models from the PANAMERA project, the platform offers intuitive usability without requiring in-depth IT knowledge. Risks such as technical complexity are minimized early on through agile development. The goal is to significantly lower the barriers for SMEs and enable broader industrial use of digital twins.
Role of the FZI
As research partner, the FZI contributes expertise in data, process, and system integration, as well as in data analytics, smart services, and AI-driven production optimization to the project. In particular, it focuses on semantic data and interface modeling and on further developing the Asset Administration Shell.
