Strategic Use of Data in SMEs
Roundtable on Practical Experiences and Solutions
The focus is on integrating heterogeneous data sources from machines, sensors, and IT systems and analyzing them using scalable analytical methods.
It also demonstrates how scientific computing and high-performance analysis can be used to efficiently process large amounts of data and, for example, compare historical and real-time data.
In addition, the paper demonstrates how AI-driven analytical processes and multi-agent systems can be used to support and partially automate data integration, analysis, and the generation of key performance indicators.
Best practices:
- Integration of heterogeneous machine and sensor data into a common database
- Use of scalable computing power and AI to analyze large amounts of data
The goal of the event is to identify specific ways in which small and medium-sized businesses can use their data to make informed decisions and optimize their processes.
Target audience
The event is primarily aimed at specialists and managers from medium-sized companies – particularly those in production, quality assurance, process management, and business development – who wish to use existing data more systematically for their decision-making. No programming or coding skills are required.
About the European Digital Innovation Hub Applied Artificial Intelligence and CyberSecurity 2.0 (EDIH-AICS 2.0)
EDIH-AICS 2.0 is a European project designed to support SMEs, small mid-caps, and public institutions in adopting and utilizing Artificial Intelligence. It offers a networked one-stop shop providing services for trustworthy, secure, and sustainable AI technologies. The project is led by a consortium of nine partners from Karlsruhe, including the FZI. The project (Grant Agreement No. 101256788) is funded by the European Commission under the “Digital Europe” (DIGITAL) program and co-financed by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, and Tourism, and will run until January 2029.
