The future of transfer
Transfer in the age of generative AI—where is this journey headed?
A “TASTE the Future” event hosted by the Transformation Hub TASTE
One of the central tasks of knowledge and technology transfer has always been to make scientific findings understandable and usable for different target audiences. At the same time, adapting and communicating research results in a way that is tailored to specific target audiences poses a major challenge. The scientific community and the professional world often differ in their language, forms of communication, and information needs.
Generative AI opens up new possibilities in this area: translating, adapting, and conveying content tailored to specific target audiences are among its particular strengths. This makes it possible to reduce effort and costs, further develop existing knowledge transfer processes, and design new forms of knowledge transfer. At the same time, new questions arise—for example, regarding the quality and reliability of AI-generated content, the provision of suitable knowledge bases, and the future role of established knowledge transfer formats.
The workshop brings together stakeholders from the fields of knowledge and technology transfer to discuss these opportunities and challenges together. Brief practical presentations on current activities and experiences serve as the starting point for an interactive exchange on future approaches and formats.
Call for Pitches
We are looking for short pitches (approx. 5 minutes) that present specific applications, experiences, ideas, or open questions regarding the use of generative AI in transfer. Possible topics include, for example, AI-powered chatbots and dialogue systems, the provision and indexing of knowledge bases, the further development of traditional transfer formats, or innovative combinations of proven methods with AI-based approaches.
