Buildings as efficient and interoperable components of the future energy system
Start: 07/2019
End: 12/2022
The Digital Hub Karlsruhe builds on the region’s unique competencies in the field of applied Artificial Intelligence (AI). It offers existing players the opportunity to network with each other, link their activities and further expand the AI ecosystem in the de:hub region with joint, coordinated offerings. In addition, the partners of the Digital Hub Karlsruhe receive support to increase the international visibility of their offerings.
The goal is to bring AI methods and technologies into practice. To do so, the Digital Hub Karlsruhe relies on cooperation to connect ideas, minds and competences and to jointly provide innovative offers for the economy. Applied AI is understood as a holistic process: The support of companies is not limited to the implementation of AI solutions but also includes education, awareness-raising, training/qualification/further education and change management.
As a founding and steering committee member of the Digital Hub Karlsruhe, the FZI is significantly involved in its strategic development. In addition, the FZI is involved in the hub management at the operational level and therefore maintains a lively exchange with stakeholders from science, business and government. The FZI also contributes its expertise in the field of applied AI to relevant events and workshops.
In this research focus, the FZI prioritizes the topics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as well as human and AI engineering. In addition, the FZI deals with questions on dedicated AI hardware and predictive AI.
