Components of the HoLLiE service robotics platform were developed and evaluated for three nursing care tasks, each with two scenarios. For example, it was investigated how the transport of larger objects and the provision of care utensils by the robot can relieve the burden on nursing staff. In addition, tests were carried out to see how walking assistance for patients can support nursing staff. Automated care process documentation and control of material stocks were also tested. The scenarios were implemented in real-life operations at the affiliated clinics in order to meet the requirements for practical and target group-oriented development and evaluation.
AI from research to practice: We promote applied AI for business and small and medium-sized enterprises, integrating technology with law and ethics.
We develop mobile systems and autonomous walking robots for use in space travel, industry, and public spaces. We put them to the test in the FZI Living Lab Service Robotics.
